Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance/Utilities Lead to join a start up biotechnology facility in Cork.
The role will report to the Engineering/EHS Team Leader and will be reponsible for developing processes to enable continuous improvement of all aspects of Maintenance/Utilities. This position will utilise a data driven approach to enhance the quality and compliance of maintenance operations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the maintenance/utilities strategy on the new site, including developing processes for the continuous improvement of all aspects of the maintenance/utilities business
- Develop and lead the calibration, maintenance and utility programs in accordance with cGMP regulations, applicable safety considerations and best maintenance practices.
- Develop Planned Maintenance procedures (PMs) for all assets in line with predictive techniques as appropriate.
- Set up systems to ensure that all engineering drawings and documentation is maintained in an organised and controlled manner and in compliance with the relevant c-GMPs.
- Ensure effective relationship between maintenance and production at all time. Responsible for the safety of colleagues and facilites through effective and compliant operation of maintenance activities.
- Ensure that facility systems are in compliance in the areas of cGMPs, safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements include:
- Third level qualification in an engineering discipline (Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical)
- 6yrs+ experience in the chemical/pharmaceutical industry with particular strength in the area maintenance/utilites systems. An understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing or facility start-up would be desirable.
- Ability to read and understand ladder logic, statement list logic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams
- Be a focused, self starting and motivated individual with a proven record of performance. Be a strong influencer able to make things happen across a flat organisational structure.
- Strong ability to lead, challenge and positively influence in an interactive team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding and use of RFT techniques and/or lean manufacturing concepts.
