Have you experience in a regulated manufacturing environment in production, maintenance or warehousing?

We are currently recruiting a number of Manufacturing Technicians for a start-up biotechnology facility in Cork. These are permanent positions.

Reporting to the Production Leader, the successful candidates will work within process teams supporting the manufacture of high quality drug substance in accordance with cGMP and safety requirements.

This will be a day position initally (up to 2 years) and will then involve rotating shift work on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities will include:

• Performing all aspects of product forumlation including cell culture growth, chromatography, ultra-filtration and filling. Biotechnicians will become a subject matter in a least one of the processing steps.
• Providing first line maintenance and calibration of process equipment
• Monitoring and optimizing the quality and yield of the products
• Prioritizing and scheduling activities
• Supporting equipment and facility commissioning and qualification activities
• Leading and supporting investigation and resolution of process problems
• Assisting with writing and review of manufacturing documentation
• Using manufacturing control systems to execute processing steps

 

Requirements include:

• Cert, Diploma or Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering or Scientific)
• 2yrs+ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability to work within a continuous improvement work environment
• The ability to work with minimum supervision
• The ability to work as part of a team where all members of the team work together to ensure business needs are met
• The ability to challenge and positively influence in an interactive team environment
