An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Facility Technician to join a new biotech facility in Cork - this is a permanent role.

The Facility Technician will be responsible for supporting manufacturing operations as an integral member of the Biotech Engineering Team. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Proactively maintain process and facility equipment in accordance with cGMP regulations, applicable safety considerations and best maintenance practices.
• Interact with all process partners to continuously improve operations by recognising and correcting the causes of less than optimal equipment and team performance.
• Perform root cause analysis as required
• Ensure Process and Utility Systems are maintained in a validated state thus ensuring compliance with all procedures and regulations.
• Maintain a safe working environment by continuously promoting safety awareness, recognising and rectifying unsafe conditions and performing thorough investigations when accidents occur.
• Assure all work meets quality standards.
• Maintain processing rooms and areas in a manner that ensures their compliance with cGMP regulations
• Maintain documentation in compliance with cGMP regulations.

 

Requirements include:

• A mechanical / electrical qualification
• Minimum of 4 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated environment
• Ability to work in a team based environment.
• Previous experience working with computerized maintenance management system
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent problem identification and solving skills.
