Fastnet Recruitment are in the process of sourcing and recruiting personnel for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Ireland's Biotech Facility at Shanbally in Cork, Ireland.

The initial Pfizer investment will be in a small-scale facility (SSF) to manufacturemammalian cell products, with capability to support phase III clinical programs and small scale commercial products. This planned facility will employ over 100 people initially.

Pfizer has also started the design of a large-scale facility (LSF) that will employ up to 400 people by 2012. Both the SSF and the LSF will consist of cell culture and downstream purification processing.

Fastnet are currently recruiting for the senior positions of Technical Services Lead, Production Lead, Quality Operations Lead as well as Cell Culture and Purification Specialists. We are also sourcing a Project Director and Technical Manager for the proposed large scale facility.
